Glossary

Plain-language definitions of the terms this manual uses, from lease and deposit to GFCI and contact time.

Each term links the chapter where it is first explained. Where a definition comes from an agency (CDC's cleaning terms, the Maryland insurance regulator's condo terms, FMCSA's mover terms), the chapter names the source. Terms tied to one state are labelled as that state's example.

128 terms, alphabetical. Filter by topic.
